# Rishi Jain, fractional CMO > Fractional CMO for B2B and D2C product companies in India. I ran a factory before I ran marketing. So I read your business from both sides of the table: the making and the selling. Based in Agra, working with companies across India. Last updated: 7 Oct 2026 ## What I actually do Good product, too few customers. I find the leak before you buy more traffic. I measure every stage from first contact to sale, in your own records. I rank the leaks by what each one costs. Your team or agency closes them, with my brief and my check. The brief goes to them. The result comes back to me. Four ways I help you win more customers: - Go-to-market and marketing plan: Who to sell to first, what to say, which channels, in what order. Moves: qualified enquiries, trials or orders. - Funnel analysis: Every step from first contact to sale, read in your own records. Moves: conversion at each stage. - Customer acquisition: Which channels your buyers actually use, and what each should cost. Moves: cost to win one customer, and payback (months to earn it back). - Conversion rate optimisation (CRO): More of your visitors, enquiries and trial users take the next step. Moves: conversion at the step we chose. Your team or agency builds it. I write the brief and check the result against the number. ## Services These published prices are locked until 1 March 2027. Two decision calls a month, 90 minutes each. A monthly scorecard: one number and what moved it. Once a quarter, your site and funnel checked end to end. - **Full Fractional CMO**: ₹1,00,000 a month · 90-day mandate · renews at ₹1,50,000 · + GST. For the business that is already healthy and wants to compete. A mandate is a written 90-day agreement: I own the marketing decisions, budget, agencies, briefs, dashboard, season. Graded monthly in a board report, bad news first. Your team and agencies do the work. I never take on execution. Ad spend, tools and software are yours, never billed through me. ## What I check (the audit map) What I check, from the warehouse shelf to the parcel that comes back. Six scenes: The factory, The storehouse, The IT department, The shipping lane, The account balance, The founder. - Range and pricing: Which products earn, which only move, prices across channels. - Warehouse and despatch: Stock on the shelf, how fast paid orders leave. - Marketplaces: Listings, fees and returns on every marketplace. - Website and checkout: Where visitors drop between product page, cart and checkout. - Leads and follow-up: Reply time and outcome on every enquiry, by source. - Ads and search spend: Spend by keyword and campaign against the orders it brought. - Shipping and returns: Courier cost per parcel, delivery days, parcels coming back. - Payments and finance: Failed payments by step, credit days, margin per order. - Brand, reviews and ownership: Reviews, and who holds the trademark, pages, logins. - Team and agencies: Who answers for each number, how agencies are graded. The red mark: Where a leak can hide. On the free review we pick the areas worth reading. No client's numbers here. ## About Rishi Jain I am Rishi Jain, a fractional CMO: a part-time head of marketing for a company that does not need a full-time one yet. Before marketing I ran a factory in Agra: costs, machines, a team, bank limits, customers whose season date could not move. So I read a business from both sides of the table, the making and the selling, in the numbers an owner respects: cost, margin, stock, spend, orders. Based in Agra, working with companies across India. I work alone: you deal with me from the first call to the last report. Education: B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur Training: Summer at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. Industrial training at an Agra foundry making castings for Indian Railways. How I got here: - 2006, Engineering: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. A summer at Tata Steel in Jamshedpur, the first time I saw a plant run at full scale. - 2007, The foundry: Industrial training at an Agra foundry casting parts for Indian Railways. The tolerance is fixed, and a rejected batch is expensive. - 2007 to 2025, The factory: I co-founded an engineering factory in Agra and ran it: quotes, machines, payroll, bank limits, and customers whose season date could not move. I learned what a product costs before anyone spends a rupee selling it. - 2016, Marketing: Alongside the factory, I started advising founder-led businesses on their marketing: jewellery, food, salons, healthcare, kidswear and apps. My wife's agency did the execution. The same pattern kept showing up: most did not have a traffic problem. They had a leak. - 2026, Fractional CMO: Today I do one job. I find where your funnel loses customers, write the plan, and your team runs it. I check the result against the number. ## Who it is for A good fit if: - You already sell, even a little. - Someone on your side can carry out the fixes. - One owner answers for the number. - Real numbers in week one.
